The new jewellery collection by Maison des Pêches x The Gallyry

A sneak peek at The Artists Collection, including limited edition pieces inspired by Yayoi Kusama, Alma Thomas, and Frida Kahlo

What

is The Artists Collection?

The Artists Collection is a collaboration between Maison des Pêches and The Gallyry, creating a limited edition jewellery collection. Each piece is inspired by one of three amazing artists: Expressionist painter Alma Thomas, contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama, and the iconic painter Frida Kahlo. Take a closer look at the pieces below:

Who

created the collection?

The collection has been handmade by the founders of Maison des Pêches and The Gallyry.

Maison des Pêches, run by the founder Clelie, creates limited edition jewellery collections out of second hand beads (you can read an interview with Clelie here).

The Artists Collection was created out of a mixture of second-hand and new beads already in the Maison des Pêches archive, making sure no new materials were bought for this collaboration to be as sustainable as possible.

“Both Maison des Pêches and The Gallyry are passionate about empowering women in the arts, so creating a collection celebrating three women artists came naturally.”

How

did this collaboration come about?

Both Maison des Pêches and The Gallyry are passionate about empowering women in the arts, so creating a collection celebrating three women artists came naturally. After researching the artists, Clelie and Ally came together to bring the artworks to life through jewellery.

Why

should you check out the collection?

Not only are the pieces in the collection super cute but by purchasing through Maison des Pêches you are supporting a small business. 50% of profits made by the end of 2020 are also being donated to Solace Women’s Aid, who provide services to support women and girls to build safe lives and strong futures.
